Design created in Canva
The project reimagines human-nature relationships through the frameworks of Anthropocene and Design with/for Nature, focusing on how design can evolve to support a more harmonious coexistence with nature as an ecologically complex and interactive system with its all biotic factors like animals, plants, and bacteria, and abiotic, non-living ones like air, water, and soil. The project investigates how design practices can actively foster reciprocity with the environment, positioning humans as cohabitants within ecosystems rather than dominant actors. By collaborating with UC Davis, McLaughlin Reserve, we explored how designs can engage with ecological systems, crafting prototypes that embody mutual flourishing between humans and nature.
