God Help the Child

The project focused on designing the interior spread and cover/spine for a novel of our choosing. I selected the novel, God Help the Child by Toni Morrison. The cover was inspired by the novel's central theme of abuse. The purple and yellow cover symbolizes the emotional and physical abuse the main character, Bride, experienced by utilizing the color of bruises healing on the skin.
