This project involved designing and fabricating a modular step stool with exact dimensions of 14” x 14” x 14” and specific material constraints. While functional as individual furniture, the real innovation emerged when 24 identical stools were combined as building blocks to create flexible, collaborative social seating arrangements. Each stool was crafted with precision joinery, thoughtful surface treatments, and personal design details, balancing efficiency in material use with versatility. The challenge emphasized careful planning, craftsmanship, and the exploration of furniture as an interconnected system—transforming simple components into dynamic, communal installations.
